Judy Matthew, Associate Professor, Library

Judy Matthew is an Associate Professor in the Library. She served as Council Secretary from 2001-2024, and WP Local delegate to Council from 1995-2024. She is very concerned about the evolving workplace issues for librarians and libraries, especially as funding reductions limit research support and the breadth of materials libraries can offer the campus community. Recent actions by institutions have severely impacted unit member numbers and are changing the ability of librarians to participate in the full scope of campus committees and institutional priorities. Judy wants to help ensure that thoughtful change is implemented so libraries remain a core academic center and that librarians retain involvement in the academic mission of their institution.
